Impact of Flooding on Shallow Groundwater Chemistry in the Taklamakan Desert Hinterland: Remote Sensing Inversion and Geochemical Methods

Understanding the effect of flooding on groundwater quality is imperative for oasis vegetation protection and local ecological environment development. We used geochemical remote sensing inversion methods to evaluate effects flood recharge hydrochemical processes in Daliyaboy Oasis. Groundwater samples were collected from 30 observation wells study area before (PRF) after (POF) flood. Except small changes HCO3− K+ a decrease pH, ion levels higher POF than PRF, water chemistry was essentially unchanged. In groundwater, correlated with Cl−, Na+, Mg2+, total soluble solids (TDS), electrical conductivity (EC), but not SO42−, Ca2+, K+, or positively all other variables, while remaining except strongly each other. PRF controlled by silicate evaporite mineral weathering evaporation processes, resulting high TDS, EC, major content, ions regulated recharge. demonstrated accuracy inversion, confirming this as reliable method evaluating chemistry. The results help reshape predict history regional hydrogeological hydrogeochemical development, provide theoretical basis assessing rational use resources protecting environment.
